Lacoteq began in June 2019, coinciding with the completion of Melvin Arpin and Benoît Genevay's polymechanic apprenticeship, when they decided to partner first in a private capacity. One year later, they officially founded Lacoteq and opened their first workshop in Bassins.
In November 2020, this workshop was equipped with several machine tools such as a Colchester Triumph 2500, a Schaublin 13, and a 3D printer. It was only 3 months later that they secured their first official production contract.
In October 2022, they developed their first projects in the context of higher education (Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering). A third partner named Jérémy Joly then joined the adventure in March 2023.
Lacoteq experienced its greatest growth opportunity in November 2023, with the acquisition of Nojact Jacot & Cie workshops and the parallel design and manufacture of the first 100% Lacoteq machine (mechanical pad printing machine).
The workshop will then undergo a complete overhaul to offer a modern, higher quality service. Today, Lacoteq has proven itself in custom equipment, watchmaking tools, metrology, and the medical field, and wishes to develop further in other business sectors.
